| The HDs are screwed to Aluminium heat spreaders that also act as HD locators. These are held between two layers of grooved acoustic foam, which form the HD Cage. There is also an additional piece – the HD Retainer Foam – to hold them firmly in place once the Side Access Panel is closed.
Remove the HD Retainer Foam. You can then slide the HD heat spreaders out, screw HDs to them, and replace them.
Note: When all the HDs are removed you will find that the lower HD Cage Grooved Foam lifts up to provide access to the Cable Channel. |
