| The entire Motherboard Assembly is removable - it slides out like a drawer – and can be dis-assembled to obtain access to the back of the motherboard.
So you install the motherboard by attaching it to the Motherboard Assembly BasePlate with the mounting pillars provided and then siding the Assembly it into the Case from the back.
The Assembly rests on two acoustic pads, which locate it. Once you have pushed the Assembly in, it will stay in place provided it is held down. The Front Edge of the Motherboard Assembly slides under the fans; and they hold it down at that end: whereas at the back end the PCI Muffler and Rear Exhaust Duct press down on the Assembly to hold it in place.
The Assembly itself consists of two parts – BasePlate and BackPanel. The BackPanel can be detached by undoing the screws that attach it to the underneath of the BasePlate to obtain even better access to the Motherboard, especially near the back.
Note: when inserting the Motherboard Assembly, make sure its front edge passes under the lower Fan Cage strip so that the Assembly goes fully in, and is located properly. This ensures that the Fan Cage Strip retains the Assembly at the front end. |
